Mary Stevens Hospice

Mary Stevens Hospice has received Charity support from the Worcestershire Province of Freemasons from its outset. In addition to the Provincial Charity Support, for which all Freemason Lodges within Worcestershire provide annual income for the fund, individual Lodges also raise their own Charity monies with social events and fundraising activities among its members and families to support Local Charities.

The Old Halesonian Masonic Lodge of Halesowen, which supports charities within the Halesowen Stourbridge and Black Country areas, has also been a regular supporter of the wonderful work that the Hospice does for local people throughout the Hospice History.

On 7th July 2025, the new Worshipful Master, Les Lowe, with his Lodge secretary, Mark Simmonds, and Lodge Membership Officer, Dennis Nock, visited the Hospice to present their latest cheque for £610 from their recent charity events. The photograph records the Happy Occasion.

Worshipful Brother Lowe told Ruth “ Our Lodge Brethren, who all live locally, are so proud of the facilities, and the experience, ability and consideration provided by the staff within Mary Stevens Hospice, that they are always delighted to raise funds for such an efficient and well respected organisation.”
